Cutty Sark

The Cutty Sark was for a very long time the fastest clipper in the UK with a record for the fastest journey between England and Australia. The Blend was created by Berry Bros. & Rudd in 1923. It was launched as a very drinkable non coloured whisky in the USA during the prohibition. It was smuggled over the Bahamas by Captain William McCoy and it was after the prohibition the best sold whisky in the USA. The label should be at first in a brown tone but the printer made a mistake and created the until today used bright yellow label. The brand is sold today by Berry Bros. & Rudd with Robertson & Baxter in different bottlings and ages. It is called SCOTS Whisky and not Scotch Whisky. The Cutty Sark itself can be seen in Londons Greenwich village today.
